If you have unreliable internet connectivity at your deployment location or you need to scan files and images for security and compliance before deploying, you can use offline downloading to install or update from a local path. There are two ways that you can use this feature: onsite or offsite. Onsite means that you download the AKS on HCI images at the same location in which you will deploy. Offsite means that you download the AKS on HCI images to a different location (where you may have better internet connectivity), use a tool of your choice to transfer the images to your deployment site, and then install or update locally.
In the configuration step, use Set-AksHciConfig to enable offline downloading with the -offlineDownload parameter. Then, specify the local path with the -stagingShare parameter. This is where the images will be downloaded.

If you do not already have offline downloading turned on, run the following command with the local path to which you want the images to be downloaded. You can check if offline downloading is set to true with the correct local path by running Get-AksHciConfig ConvertToJson and checking the values. If it is set to true and the local path is correct, skip to step 3.

After navigating to the transcript, click the Options drop-down menu. Click the Download Offline Learning link. The Offline Learning application will begin downloading. Once finished downloading, the application can be installed, and users can use the application to download courses which can then be completed offline. See Offline Player Application Overview for more information on using the application.
Rita opens the company portal and accesses to her transcript. From the Options menu, she downloads the Offline Learning application to her laptop and installs it. She can download relevant courses and make them available for offline consumption and optimize the time she spends flying.
If you are not allowed to install programs on your school or company computer, use the portable version (download links given above). Portable means it does not require installation, only unpacking. Once unpacked, you can move the app between computers on a USB stick and it should still work.
1. Download the zip file for Windows. When download is complete, go to your Download folder (or the folder you chose to download the zip file). Select the zip file and click on Compressed Folder Tools in the top title bar.
Offline download allows you to install and upgrade your AKS hybrid clusters in a disconnected environment. Unreliable or intermittent connectivity is one of the most common reasons behind the need to run AKS workloads on-premises. However, deploying AKS hybrid requires good connectivity and sufficient bandwidth to pull down the AKS hybrid images from SFS. With offline download, we are changing that. Another reason to run workloads on-premises is for security and compliance. Offline download provides an extra layer of security by allowing you to pre-download the images. Once you get the images in your local share, you can run a security scan on the images before deploying them to your production environment. These types of scenarios influenced us to bring an offline download function to the AKS hybrid experience. We introduce 2 capabilities in offline download: onsite and offsite.
An onsite offline download is when you download the AKS hybrid images directly to a local share at your deployment site, and then install or upgrade with the pre-downloaded images in the local share. Onsite download decouples the default installation and upgrade steps. In between downloading the images and locally installing or upgrading with those images, you can run a security scan or whatever you need to do before deploying. The diagram below shows you a visual flow of an onsite offline download.
An offsite offline download is when you download the images to a local share at offsite location (a location that is different from your deployment site), use a tool of your choice to transfer the images to a local share at the deployment site, and then install or upgrade locally with those images. This scenario is suited for customers who struggle with low bandwidth or unreliable connectivity by allowing you to deploy disconnected. The diagram below shows a visual flow of an offsite offline download.
If you are concerned about cellular data usage, we recommend turning on Download only on Wi-Fi in Settings to prevent Pocket from downloading items when connected to your cellular network.

Been struggling with this for awhile now, as help topics only show the application side of how to download offline base maps, but not on the arcgis online side. How do i enable offline downloading? Currently, all my maps in the collector app do not have the "Download" button available. What are the steps needed in arcgis online to make a map available for offline use?
Thanks for the explanation on why the vector tile basemaps are not downloadable yet and that the raster tiles are. Does anybody know when the vector tiles will be downloadable? We have enabled the vector tiles for our organization, seems like the right thing to do for all other AGOL uses, but for Collector not so great. Does anyone know if it is possible to pull in a raster tile basemap for the living atlas to download? Think I will try that....
Vector tiles will be supported for download in the new Collector that is slated to come out soon. The new Collector will be a separate download in the iOS app store. Android and Windows releases will be coming later and Android is currently in beta.
Bloomin' Basemap Blindside Batman! That was it! That was the problem, changed the basemap and Boom, the map was available for download. Seems like this kind of issue can pop up throughout ESRI, ran into a very similar problem using model builder, where some unseen setting was buggered by a model node that had been deleted in the process but still impacted other parts of the model.
You can find downloaded Google maps within the app's Offline Maps section. By tapping into the listed offline maps, you'll have the option to delete them, rename areas (via the edit function), or update them.
This does download the page and any images or scripts under that directory, but I'm trying to figure out how to download that page for completely offline viewing. How would I get every image, script, and style sheet linked within the source for www.myspace.com including external links?
Footpath will download offline maps for the currently selected map style within a 0.25 mi (400 meters) buffer on either side of the route. If you have the Footpath Topo map style selected, Footpath will also download satellite imagery so that you can use the Satellite Topo map style offline. 2ff7e9595c
